The Dough Roller Restaurant on 3rd Street and the Boardwalk
was founded in 1980 by the Gibbs Family. During the summer
of 1962 and 1963, Bill Gibbs, an Ocean City resident, was
a beach boy for the Breakers Hotel on 3rd Street and the
Boardwalk. It was during those months on the beach that
he envisioned a restaurant in front of the Breakers Hotel.
The dream became a reality when the Gibbs family bought
the Hotel and renovated the boardwalk porch into a restauarant.

grow to serve their customers. South Division Street has added
one of Ocean City's oldest traditions - Dayton's Chicken and
Soft Shell Crabs - to their menu. The 41st and 70th Street
locations have expanded to increase their dining capacity
and to add Rita's Ices, Cones, Shakes, and Other Cool Stuff.
